Is it Possible to rally a standard Tb-01 on snow without the motor or esc getting fried, the inner body should keep the snow and water out shouldnt it

With any luck, it will last about 5 minutes before you wipe out the speed control, motor, and maybe the battery if things get toasty enough.
Have fun.

would getting a heat sink and making a small home made air intake in the inner body work? upgrading the motor soon so might need to do that

Heat sinks and air intakes do nothing to keep the electronics dry.

we've done a snow rally before in New Jersey - most of the guys just covered their electronics with balloons
what kind of speedo are you using? you might not need a FULL cover, just something to deflect the snow away from the speedo and receiver
might want to make sure you protect your servo as well - i know a few of the R/C mags have done articles on running in the mud and such, you could some good ideas from there as well

try traxxas water proof parts like servo, speed cantrol, and water tight resever box and water sealed lipo battery and you should do great, thats the way we do it in the crawler way
