View Full Version : M04 goes Dirt
Hello Guys.
These vacation I change my onroad M04 to a offroad version.
I change the shocks for a regular on, from a TT01, and use the Tamiya Big Block tires.
It was fun!
Take a look the pictures:

Its a little hard to drive these small car on dirt, the surface must be "clear" to have a fun.

Haha VERY cool! I was thinking of doing the same with my M04 spare parts chassis but then I remember the front shocks are angled so it might not be too good for jumps?. Do you have any problems with the tires rubbing the body?
Hey,
The shocks angled are not a problem, I don't change they and its works fine.
Take a look the attached image.
I have these idea after see some guys on Japan running with minis on dirt.
Look the youtube video.

Reminds me of a couple years ago when our local track turned the dirt track into dirt oval for the summer and I didn't have a dirt oval car. I took my M03, put a stock motor in it, used m grip tires, tweaked the suspension setup, and proceeded to run competitively with the modified motor truck class! Minis can do lots of things!
A Dirt oval should be nice to drive.
One day I want try it :)
If you have some photo of your car, post here!
Regards,
Tuba :)
