I bought a TT-01E three weeks ago. This weekend my spur gear striped out, and my pinion gear looks like leading edge of the teeth has been ground away. I assembled it per the instruction manual, and I am running a Novak Rooster ESC, 3600mah NiHh battery, and silver can motor. I used the tamiya anit-wear grease that came with the kit when i put it together, and super-lube synthetic Teflon grease last week when it started getting noisy. Anybody have any ideas why this would happen?

The motor mount may have moved a little. Try some black electric tape to make it fit a little more snuggly in the slots.

The motor mount fits snug, I think the motor was slipping in the mount though. I ordered some Robinson Racing steel pinion gears that should be here this weekend. That should help with the wear.

I have been running the 23t RR steel pinion gear with a Tamiya 58t hop-up spur gear for the past week running a 3500kv brushless motor with no noticeable wear:D:D:D
