What is the purpose of the one way center pulley on the TA-05... or more to the point, what does allowing the front wheels to freely spin and not back drive to the motor when braking do that's better than the direct pulley?
Thanks.

When you pair the center one way with a front one way, it allows the drive train to spin free when you are off throttle. Unless you are pairing it with a front one way, it is useless.

Do you mean just the belt and the two pulleys? Or, do you mean the belt, pulleys, and the wheels that are able to spin free? What performance benefit is gained by doing this?

The benefits of a one way are more steering when entering a corner and increased stability when exiting a corner. The down side to a one way front diff is that there will be no front brakes and the car is very difficult to set up. A one way should only be used if you are experienced and you are racing on a high grip track. If you are relatively inexperienced and/or you are racing on a low grip surface a one way is best avoided. :Tamiya1:
