Can someone recommend a FDR for Tamiya EVO 5 running a 5.5 Brushless Motor?
Will be running on all size tracks so just a starting point would be great :Tamiya1:

A FDR of around 4.5 for starters and go from there. I am using my EVO IV in comparison.

a 4.5 final drive ratio is really low for a 5.5 motor. you're gonna be running hot. IIRC, when novak came out with the 5.5 velociti in 2006, their suggested final drive ratio is btwn 6.5-7.5. My friend runs an EVO5 with the 5.5 velociti and his FDR is 6.77.

According Gear Chart (http://www.gearchart.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=chart.create) TB EVO5 with a 6.77 FDR and 63mm tires and a 5.5 motor running 2S lipo has a theoritical top speed of 96.08kph. thats plenty for any race track.
