My 49400 kit comes with 24mm +2 offset wheels in the front and +5 offset in the rear. I don't want to wear out the kit wheels. Any ideas of what I should run as alternatives? If I put too many wheel spacers on then it misses the hex adapter...

I got some +2 offset hot pink dish wheels and will put a 1mm wheel spacer in the rear, not the same track width, but it's the best I can do with what I have.

or are there different hex adapters that can offset the problem?

I also have a 49400 and have been using the stock wheels because I was lucky enough to get some spare wheels to keep nib, but I have been looking at some of the Tamiya 2 piece wide rear wheels to see if they can be modded to fit but have not actually tried yet.

i dont know the what the rules are on this forum quite yet, but just trying to help out. HPI makes wheels in a +6 offset in all sorts of different styles. on my old TA03F with the CLK GTR body uses a +5 rear wheel so I use a +6 offset HPI rims. looks and work beautifully.

The older tamiya 2-piece wide wheels such as the mesh style or the five spoke style might now work because use one side and the offset is around 9 and use the other side and the offset is 3.

I just thought about the Tamiya Ferrari Enzo wheels, I think they have a big offset also +4 or something like that.

I thought about that too, but I didn't see a +2 in the same style, so I'd end up with different wheels front and back...

3racing sells a hex with +1 offset (I just got it from ebay), with a 1mm wheel spacer I can get my +2 dishes to +4 hopefully.

I also saw a hex wheel adapter with +1 deg, Is that a Toe in?

Tamiya sells a +2 offset hex wheel adapter for the F103GT, but I don't think that works for the TA05.

At Ebay you can find the wheels from porsche taisan or Supra.
The front wheel is the 50548, youc an use as 0 offset or +4 offset.
If you need more offset you can use the rear wheel, ist +4 offset or +10 offset, but its for wide tire (31mm).

Take a look in my car. I use these wheels over my Ta04 with a 200mm body.
