This is my favorite M chassis the Mo4 with rear drive, I just like rear drive cars and how they drive. I used an Alfa Body with a fun custom paintjob inspired by but not replicating a Jager Alfa I saw online. Painted Tamiya Orange and camel yellow with silver undercoat and then black to give it a finished look. I used the decals from the Tamtech Porsche and an interior from Scollins originally intended for the Sand Scorcher, I made the roll bar from styrene and used tamiya buggy driver heads. The tailpipe is part of a pen, the wheels were painted silver then aged with black wash and flat clearcoat. The car has full bearings, TRF black shocks and like most of my road cars is fitted with a 35t lathe motor to keep speed down for safe long runtimes.

You put the two things I love together, Alfas and Jager. How can you not love it?

That's awesome! Never seen an Alfa with the Jager livery but it really suits it, especially with the yellow nose. Great attention to detail too, with the roll hoop and brown leather wheel. Very nice.
I just wish these bodies weren't discontinued. I have a very clean one of these at home that I want to run but I really don't want to bang it up. And replacement bodies on ebay are as expensive as a new kit...

I think there are a lot of us that feel this way. I have one that is banged up but still in good shape I want parts for but I don't want to buy another kit just to get a set of mirrors.

Thanks guys, Thats why I run a 35t motor its not overly slow but its just slow enough to keep the wheels on the ground even in a hard corner and the tires last forever. This car does have an hour or so of run time on it without a crash yet (crossed fingers) :common001:

35t, is that slower than a stock silvercan?

lol... I'm the opposite, the M04-M is my least favorite to drive. I turned my alfa (http://tamiyatorg.blogspot.com/2009/04/alfa-romeo-giulia-sprint-gta-m04-m.html)into a M04-L S2000 (http://tamiyatorg.blogspot.com/2009/10/honda-s2000-conversion.html).
I probably need to spend some time on the setup and more time practicing, I've heard that helps! :D

Yes 35t is slower than the stock motor but I get super long run times even with 1500 nicd sport packs. As for the M04 I can't say if its good or bad because I'm different than most of you road guys since I came into it as a modeler wanting realism so the handling difference between the M chassis are foreign to me so to speak, I just like the drive wheels of the model to match the real ones. But with 35t motors everything handles very predictably lol!

Wyoming - that looks awesome...I've always loved that Alfa body, but never was lucky enough to buy one :(
I wonder if it will be re-released since it will fit the M05;)

Thanks, most places still sell the Alfa M04 kit, I see Towerhobbies has them in stock so the body is still available.

Right now the body is only sold in the kit. We do not have the body, or body parts availible seperately right now. Wyoming is right though. I just checked and Towerhobbies.com has the kit in stock for $104.99:

Every time I walk into lhs (Hobby people) I get an itch for that kit, they have two sitting on the shelf.

i've considered that option many many times :) but i think the wife would kill me if another kit 'found its way' into my house:oops:
Great looking Alfa. It's a classic...:D
