Thought it would be good to get this thread going. Here is my new M-05 Pro kit. I am taking it out for it's first run tomorrow, so it probably won't look this good ever again! There are more pictures in my album.

Cool! We have our own galleries here?
Good lookin Swift, btw. Do all the suspension parts from the M05 Pro fit on the M04M? I'm thinking of taking my Alfa off the shelf and setting it up for TCS racing.

Grey: It was good to meet you this weekend. your TA05 looked pretty good out there! Yes, all the parts do fit the M04. Let me know and I can bring mine to the track one day to show you.
I am very happy I took pictures of it last week because it does NOT look like that today.

Thanks akuntze, good to meet you too. I'm still a noob at the track but I think I'm slowly getting the hang of things.
Those minis look like such a blast out there, all running together like a swarm of bees. I'm definitely bringing my M04 Alfa next time. Shelf queen/shmelf queen :D

Did you use the Tamiya copper PS paint for your body? That's a great color.

Yes, I used Tamiya PS-14 (http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=86014) and I think the color came out very nice! Now I just need to get the motor running better......

That color looks really good on there.
How are you liking the M05 so far?

To be honest with you, I have only driven the car three times, as in 3 runs, so I can't give a lot of feedback yet. I am new to minis in general, so most of it is me trying to figure out how to drive and what the car needs more than anything. I will say that right out of the box it seems pretty good! I am anxious to get a better motor put in so I can really mix it up with people.

New to Mini's also, Purchased a M05 Pro, and got the Mini-Cooper Red pre-painted body for my Ride...
Ops, yeah, its not Mine, its the GF's,
Its the Pro, with a Stock Tamiya Tin-Can motor.
She loves it, I may pick another one up for myself.
Took it out last week, for its first drive, drives well and fun too.
Its so cute to watch her drive it around, and I chase her with my TT-01R.
The handling of the car at full-speed(TinCan) is great for a beginners, doesn't spin out, just lots of easy to handle understeer. Teaching the driver to GET OFF the throttle.
The track is for 1/5 scale, so Rushing out on the corners doesn't result in a crash.
But the TinCan is to slow for the long straight, I've got a number of motors I could put in, but as long as shes enjoying the car, I won't touch it. (Untill she demands more Speed)
One thing,
Buy SHIM's lots... I worked on the steering for ages with shim's here and there, in the steering rack, on the knuckles etc, with patients, you can get a good setup, with an acceptable level of slop. :busted_blue:
