What is this handy thing?
PM'ing is used if you want to ask an off topic question to a member or work out a trade, etc....
Q. Should I PM members with specific questions like:
What is the width of this?
Will this fit on that?
What size tire will fit on this?
A. NO
Posting these questions in the forum will get them answered quicker.
Why? Not one single person may know every answer. If you only use PM to ask, other members can not use the search feature to find the answer themselves.
You should think of a forum as a database and if you do not ask the question you will not get an answer. Also, the next guy/gal won't be able to find the information that might help them.
So, think of it as you are helping others find answers down the road.
