Default Porsche 959 TA02

A little project I'm working on for a drift buildoff. Got a ways to go, but coming together well. Front 1 way, rear locked diff, tamiya drift wheels and tires, custom chassis and a mint Nikko body. Wb is about 8.5"

Plan is to strip the decals and paint the body. Not sure which color yet, but nothing crazy.

Thank you both - was thinking Rothmans and Rally tires after the drift BO is over....but I like the look of the low slung street car as well. Decisions, decisions....

I don't know about the driveshaft, it's was a tight press fit, coated with JB weld and seems pretty strong: see how it holds up. I am a little concerned with the 550 in there, but fingers are crossed.

Chassis is pretty much built, just need the valences front and rear. Then, tearing it all back down for finish work and painting it all black.

New upper deck in place

New front shock tower brace/body mount. Note the 22t 550 truck motor stuffed in there. Should be plenty of torque to get the wheels spinning.

New rear body mount/shock tower brace. A bit of an odd size due to the body.

Stripped the stickers off the body, looks much better!! Not sold on the wheels at all, think I can find something better.

I noticed you have a cup racer in the back ground .. how well does the 959 body fit on the cup racer?

Ask and you shall receive Northwest!

Just messing around, but I really like the black wheels....tore the body apart for some styrene work and painting. Should be getting the chassis painted this weekend as well.

Raman, the CR is too narrow for the 959 body, and the WB is a tad off. the 959 body is around 220mm WB - right inbetween the 2 settings for the CR. It's ok though, have a Porsche body for that too. There's a DF03RA hiding behind it this time..
